You're actually better off looking for Jane's F-15. It features only two adversaries (1990s Iraq and present-day Iran), but it has the same plane (the F-15) and you don't have to worry about DOS/Windows XP conflicts.

Um.. sorry. The link I just posted [classic-pc-games] is not cool, absolutely..

You have to register, and doing some things in order to get some download permissions.. Unless you patient enough to register + install screensavers, or register + filling a questionnaire, I don't recommend this site. And the same goes for www.download-full-games.com. They're basically the same site.

Try www.abandonia.com instead, it's totally free, though it may not have a lot of collection to choose from.:)

Yeah I went there and almost immediately clicked out when I saw all the things required just to be able to play. Abandonia looks fun though. I like the arcade games I see so far. Thanks for posting.

Yeah. You're right. I found out the hard way that you have to do a whole bunch of things to register, and maybe the site also has browser hijacking spyware, too.

And yeah, I think I'll look for that Jane's F-15 game in eBay or something.

Not only do you have to waste a billion hours (okay, maybe 15-20 minutes, but it feels like a billion hours!) replying to a survey, but when you download an old DOS game you are asked to mention which drive the installation disk is in, and there is NO installation disk or disk drive in physical existence! I have, somewhere, the original disks for that game, but my new PC doesn't have floppy drives. DVD-RW drive yes, but old 3.5 in. disk drives, no.

The graphics in Jane's F-15, while not really up to 2007 standards, are still a bit better than that older DOS game's, and although it is fairly limited to Iran/Iraq, it is more realistic since you are now flying along with other American fighters rather than just as a solo operator, which was the only way you could fly in the old MicroProse version UNLESS you were on multiplayer mode over a modem connection.

Let me know if you find it!

Funny how unrealistic many military sims used to be. MicroProse's F-15 series and its two Stealth Fighter games always had us flying in almost total isolation. Yes, they did have friendly aircraft flying around in the simulated environment, but they were either there just as part of the "scenery" or as the refueling plane, but not until F-14 Fleet Defender did they ever, ever have other planes that responded to player input or communications.

I once bought F-14 Fleet Defender but, ironically, I could never get it to run right. I think that was MicroProse's final original flight sim game.

I've tried a few gaming sites online; this one is the least complicated one to use and it has a few games that I enjoy.

Other than that, I like to check out online stores such as Amazon or eBay.

Most of my gaming I like to do from games I buy....such as Civ IV and stuff like that.

Hey, I found Jane's F-15 in eBay. I shelled out $17.00 for it but it beats having no F-15 game at all.

Yes. Well, just keep in mind that you WILL be flying with other American planes and you will need to avoid blue-on-blue incidents.

Argh! I tried that one this morning and regretted it. Be careful, because that site also has malware and, even if it didn't, it'll still ask you to "pay" for those old games by signing up to survey sites and stuff.

I mentioned after that post that it was really bad link... duh.

i can delete that link from my post but i think that someone may like it so i leave it there.

if you've played it, you'll notice its similarities with DFG pizza - matching games...
