Fallout 3

I am thinking of getting fallout 3 and i dont know nothing about it. i am also worried that i wont understand the story, does it carry on from the others?

Im an achievement whore so Im getting the 360 version. Fallout generally is getting high reviews than Fable and Fable is already a great game.

Fallout 3 is a great game. Ive seen some gameplay and a friend of mine has it. Awesome stuff. As for Bioshock, not quite sure how that is.

How does Fallout 3 do in that regard? Ive never been to DC or anything, but I assume at least the major areas are the same, such as the Washington Memorial, etc. I think itd be interesting to live in the DC area and play the game, and see how closely it reflects the actual geography.

No problem. Ive actually never finished a Fallout before PC problems, not because of the games quality but finishing #1 is pretty high on my list... ill get back to it once things slow down after the holidays.

BTW, i was pretty sure that parts of Oblivions dungeons were randomly generated. i may be wrong, but if they werent then damn... thats crappy-ass dungeon design.

and yeah, im getting sort of obsessed with it too...

BTW, i gotta say, im sort of surprised i havent found the dog yet. i dont want any spoilers or anything, but after 12 hours i sort of thought itd be introduced by now...

Fallout 3 is a great game. I have it for xbox 360. Don't worry about not understanding the story...I mean its just a game, the story is not that complicated. Besides, you can catch up on the story by reading the story for fallout 2 and fallout.

Here is some information about the story:

Fallout 3 takes place in the year 2277, 36 years after the setting of Fallout 2 and 200 years after the nuclear war between the United States and China that devastated the game's world in an alternate post-World War II timeline. The game places the player in the role of an inhabitant of Vault 101, a survival shelter designed to protect a small number of humans from the nuclear fallout. When the player character's father disappears under mysterious circumstances, he or she is forced to escape from the Vault and journey into the ruins of Washington D.C. to track him down. Along the way the player is assisted by a number of human survivors and must battle myriad enemies that now inhabit the area now known as the "Capital Wasteland". The game has an attribute and combat system typical of an action strategy game but also incorporates elements of first-person shooter and survival horror games.
